Stories After Sundown: Silent Hope

Image
Hi, welcome back!!! I couldn't post this week because of school but I'll try to post more this week . This is the second story in 'Stories After Sundown'. This time it's a poem. I hope you like it. If you have any suggestions for what I should post don't forget to add it in the comments! I let my hands slide down by my sides the soft field cradles my bones the steady rhythm of dancing trees filles the empty void inside me the evening breeze nothing more than a lullaby for my restless soul pink clouds dot the sky  dozens of birds   crossing the horizon towards a shared home Evening dew clings to my unkempt hair, making it stick to my shoulders  The rustling grass tickles my bare feet. From here, the world seems small, like I can forget all my sins and start anew like I can pick up all the strewn pieces of my heart gazing up at the sky, something new bubbles inside of me - hope

Stories After Sundown: The First Story!

Image
This is the first story in the series, stories after sundown. It's about the declaration of American independence day. I did some research on it as part of some school work so i thought that I would write a short story about it. Tell me if it's good in the comments!! It’s hard to imagine how life was before the 4th of July—both mentally and physically hard. My family owned a tiny store behind the police station. The repugnant smell of blood would always linger in the air. My mother would try to mask it with cloves and incense, but no amount of it was ever enough to make me forget.             The days blurred together. People walked in and out of the store, only ever exchanging words in hushed voices. Night after night, the screaming and weeping from the station seeped through the paper-thin walls and filled my ears with agony. The single dim fluorescent lamp flickered and buzzed like an insect at night. Layers of paint peeled away as cracks spread a...

10 Books You Need to Read in 2026...

Image
Hii! Welcome back. Today I thought of making the list for must-reads of 2026 and rate them out of 5 stars. All of these books are books I have read in 2025. (F.Y.I. The picture in the post is not mine)    1. Good Girls Guide to Murder -⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐This is a REALLY good series. It's about a girl who investigates a cold case for her school project. The twists and turns in the book are the real stars.    2. If He Had Been With Me -⭐⭐⭐⭐4 stars because it was kind of boring at the start but the ending was so heart clenching. It was the saddest thing ever.  3. Shatter me- ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ One of the best books I've ever read. It has the greatest character development and the plot is so carefully woven that you actually feel like you're there with the characters. It has 12 books in the series, including 5 novellas and 7 main novels .   4. Hunger Games -⭐⭐⭐This is also a great book. The only bad thing about this is that it gets boring at the beginning and the middle. But ...

When We Became Stangers

Image
Here's another poem I wrote it on a road trip when I was bored. Again, I don't relate to this, I just wrote it for fun. Hope you like it!!! Midnight driving and endless laughter Inside jokes and breaking rules The feel of the evening breeze through our diyed hair Gass station slushies and picking wild daisies We used to be so close Always the two of us Now it's like we never happened Time erased itself Especially the countless hours we spent together A void which once used to be filled with vibrant colours is all you left behind. Different schools and different countries Remember when you promised that you would hold my hand through the worst? Guess things change as time goes Or maybe that's just the easiest excuse You filled my heart with hopeless dreams just to watch it shatter into a million pieces Sometimes I look into the mirror at my bloodshot eyes and wonder if I'll ever get back the pieces of me you took with you. That's it for today. S...

Hiiii!!! First post of 2026!!!!! I thought that I could post a poem I made a while back. I don't really relate to it, but I like how it turned out. Hope you like it too. The format is a little diffetent but I'll fix it soon. Tell me what type of post you want and how you like the poem in the comments!!! Is she kind? Pretty? Eyes full of honey?                  Does she laugh everytime you be a little funny?    Does she journal? Sing? Dance like an angle?    Does she lighten the mood in every conversation?                                                    Would it make any difference if she was a little less perfect? She's made of angle dust and a bit of glitter,        Every move so graceful captivating everyone with it,             ...
