Stories After Sundown: Silent Hope
Hi, welcome back!!! I couldn't post this week because
of school but I'll try to post more this week . This is the second story in 'Stories After Sundown'. This time it's a poem. I hope you like it. If you have any suggestions for what I should post don't forget to add it in the comments!I let my hands slide down by my sides
the soft field cradles my bones
the soft field cradles my bones
the steady rhythm of dancing trees filles the empty void inside me
the evening breeze nothing more than a lullaby for my restless soul
pink clouds dot the sky
dozens of birds
crossing the horizon towards a shared home
Evening dew clings to my unkempt hair,
making it stick to my shoulders
The rustling grass tickles my bare feet.
From here, the world seems small,
like I can forget all my sins and start anew
like I can pick up all the strewn pieces of my heart
gazing up at the sky,
something new bubbles inside of me - hope
